Festivals 2017 – The ‘No Makeup’ Makeup Look

One of the biggest fashion looks I saw at Coachella was the boho look. I’m so happy it’s making a come back! Time for rustic, floral prints, loose fitting dresses, short denim shorts and loose, wavy hair. It’s all about naturalness. The “I woke up like this” vibe. As if you rolled out of bed, selected the first piece of crumpled up clothing from your floordrobe and waltzed out of the front door, glowing and glorious. Except in reality, it’s a carefully calculated look, pairing the right print with the right accessories and the right makeup. But in my opinion, the right makeup is the ‘No Makeup’ Makeup look.

Foundation Techniques: Which Applicator is Best?

I’m going to apply foundation onto my face 8 times, because I’m genuinely curious as to which technique comes out on top. I’ll be using 2 foundations; my absolute holy grail foundation (Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Foundation) and a foundation I have several issues with (L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation). I’ll be using four techniques for each; classic finger blending, the beauty blender, brushing with a traditional foundation brush and using an oval brush.

Review: L’ORÉAL Infallible Blush Paint

A couple of weeks ago i did a review of the new L’ORÉAL Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation range, including the foundation, primer, colour correcting palette and seeing spray. I’ve been so impressed with all of these products; nothing covers up my dark circles like the orange concealer in the palette, and the foundation stays put all day, even without the setting spray!

Review: L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Matte range

I suppose I have to admit I’m a sucker for advertising; L’Oréal adverts have been popping up on my Facebook for weeks now. Yesterday I gave in and bought the full Infallible range. These products, particularly the foundation and colour correcting palette, are supposedly able to cover any form of imperfection, even tattoos. I don’t have any tattoos to test this on, so I guess I’ll use my face!
