June Glossybox Word of Rachel

June Glossybox: Unboxing

I couldn’t believe I hadn’t been excited for this months Glossybox! Not only does it have 2 full sized treats, but it actually has 6 products, rather than the usual 5. There’s a great mix of products, with 3 skincare products, 2 makeup products and 1 hair product. So read on to see what I got, and what I think of the products!

Festivals 2017 – The ‘No Makeup’ Makeup Look

One of the biggest fashion looks I saw at Coachella was the boho look. I’m so happy it’s making a come back! Time for rustic, floral prints, loose fitting dresses, short denim shorts and loose, wavy hair. It’s all about naturalness. The “I woke up like this” vibe. As if you rolled out of bed, selected the first piece of crumpled up clothing from your floordrobe and waltzed out of the front door, glowing and glorious. Except in reality, it’s a carefully calculated look, pairing the right print with the right accessories and the right makeup. But in my opinion, the right makeup is the ‘No Makeup’ Makeup look.

Review: Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit

In case you hadn’t noticed, Makeup Revolution might be my favourite drug store brand right now. Sure, it doesn’t have the quality that more expensive brands have, but the quality to price ratio is amazing. I already reviewed one of their liquid lipstick products, which was fab for just £2. So I thought I’d try another! The Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kits were on my wish list for a while, so I bought one and gave it a try.

Review: Benefit “They’re Real!” Double the Lip Lipstick

I’m gonna say it loud and clear here guys: I love Benefit cosmetics! They are by far my favourite brand and have been since I was about 14 years old and a staff member grabbed my sister in Debenhams to ask if she wanted to try some of their products. The love of Benefit is one of the few things my sister and I solidly have in common! With fun product names, pretty packaging and great quality products, is hard to go wrong with Benefit.

Review: NYX Lip Lingerie

When it comes to liquid lipsticks, a few brands seem to stand out above the rest in reviews. It might just be me, but NYX is one of those brands. Maybe it’s because of the high quality against good value, or maybe it’s because a few of the colours are close enough to be dupes of the Kylie Jenner liquid lipsticks. Either way, everyone knows about NYX liquid lipsticks. I’ve been meaning to try these for a while, but getting them was another story. Today I was browsing in Boots are realised that they actually have an NYX counter, because apparently I’m blind. No excuses then, and at £7 each I decided to buy three.

Review: Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Makeup Revolution as a brand recently, so picked up a few of their things today to give try. I’m also relatively new to liquid lipstick, despite my extensive collection of lip products. So today I picked up 2 liquid lipsticks from Makeup Revolution, and the Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer is the first one I tried.
