Not gonna lie, the chances of there being a monthly favourites post this month is slim. Not only have I been steam rollered by continuous assessment modules at university this month, but I’ve not had the money to buy new things. That said, I’ve wanted new things, and I’ve been eyeing them up and making a tonne of strange, sad noises because I just can’t afford them!
There have some amazing new releases in the beauty world that I’ve been dying to get my hands on. Time to put some money aside maybe and… sorry, I can’t finish that sentence with a straight face. University is coming to an end though (*internal screaming*) and fingers crossed I’ll be getting a job (or going into a masters, but we’ll see!), earning money and can finally start buying what I want!
In order to remember that though, I need to keep track of it. So here are my current beauty wants and wishes, in no particular order!
You guys all know that I’m in love with the ABH Modern Renaissance palette; it’s all over my Instagram! When they teased the new Soft Glam Palette, I genuinely think I cried a little! It’s so pretty, and I need it so much! I am keen to see some reviews first though. Despite how good the Modern Renaissance palette is, it’s follow up, the Subculture palette, did not review too well. I’m keen to see how well this one does before I drop £43 on it!
Despite some upset over the shade range, I have been dying to try the latest foundation offering from Tarte. I’m not interested in the Matte Foundation – all my current foundations are matte and all of them dry out my skin no end (except for the Body Shop Matte Clay Foundation, which I currently have half a review written for and is amazing!). The hydrating foundation seems to be less full coverage and really good for your skin. I love the Shape Tape Concealer, so I’d love to give the foundation a try!
I recently splashed out on the Pillow Talk Lip Liner and Lipstick set from Charlotte Tilbury and I love it. I wear it every day. In the order I received a sample of the Magic Cream, and oh my God! I’ve never used such a good moisturizer. Despite my best efforts, the moisturizer ran out after 3 uses. And I’m not in a position to drop £70 on the full sized pot. So I’ll settle this one with a sad pit of longing! Shame though!
I’m still not over my love of Paris, and when I saw this on Twitter I fell into a little pit of nostalgia. This pretty pink highlighter is the perfect colour, and I love the little Eiffel Tower imprint in the powder. Although I’m not sure if I want this, or to book another trip to Paris…
I’m a big fan of the original Porefessional primer, and love the idea of a primer that gives a pearl shimmer! I’ve not been using a proper primer recently, as I’ve been loving the Glossier Priming Moisturizer, which does the job. However, I’m still a little put off by my reaction to Glossier, so I’m looking for an alternative. So it might be time for a new primer!
I feel like there’s so much more I could add to this list, but these are the big ones right now! I’m definitely going to have to hold out on a few of these, seeing as I already have about 14 eyeshadow palettes, but still!
