Say My Name with Ineffabless Jewellery

Say My Name with Ineffabless Jewellery

Ineffabless is a London based Jewellery brand that specializes in personalized jewellery. Even before I got sick of being called the wrong name, I have obsessed over name necklaces. When done right, they are super cool. I’ve searched for the perfect one for so long, but have found that many places that offer them just don’t have them quite right. I wanted something simple, yet to the point. I don’t need my name blown up to huge proportions, in neon yellow, blazoned across my chest. I need something I can wear with everything, and of course, something pretty yet eye catching. And I think with their huge selection, honestly one of the biggest I’ve ever seen, Ineffabless fits the bill perfectly.

Prioritizing Self Care – Should You Skip Lectures at University?

Prioritizing Self Care – Should You Skip Lectures …

So I suppose what I want to discuss is when can you really justify skipping lectures? I’m not defending myself not going because it’s cold and I want more sleep – that’s just me being selfish! But it definitely happens to everyone. I can’t justify it. But I can justify not going to a lecture when, in all honesty, you need to put yourself first.

Valentines Day is Just Another Day…

Valentines Day is Just Another Day…

I’m not saying I hate Valentines day. But a lot of the stuff that goes with it is just irritating. The idea that men have to send their girlfriends huge bouquets of roses that wilt before they get delivered and cost stupid amounts of money. The cuddly toys that come onto the Clinton’s shelves once a year and have huge red hearts sewn to them in such awkward ways that you can’t even cuddle them. Yet another occasion that I need to buy someone a present simply for putting up with the fact I leave all my clothes in a pile on the floor. Making a restaurant booking months in advance only to be rushed through a set menu because all of the tables need to be reused.

Reviewing the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Reviewing the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

According to, well, everyone, Shape Tape is a concealer that will cover anything. Dark circles? Covered. Imperfections? Covered. Skin discolouration and dark spots? Covered. Angry red spots and emerging blackheads? You got it – covered. Honestly, with the amount of stuff this concealer could supposedly do, I was both enthralled and skeptical all in one go.

Why I’m Not Getting on with Glossier

Why I’m Not Getting on with …

Glossier coming to the UK was one of the most hyped up events in the blogger calendar. For a few weeks, Twitter was filled with affiliate links and discount codes and everyone was expressing how in love with the brand they were. All reviews were positive – “It’s definitely worth the hype!”. Even my non-blogger friends were talking about it. And finally being out of my overdraft and needing some new skincare fixes, I asked on Twitter for a handy discount code, and finally bought into the hype!

Musings of a Marine Biology Undergrad – What to Expect From Field Trips

Musings of a Marine Biology Undergrad – What …

Most unis will draw you in with a big field trip (Aberdeen’s was Florida – a course which they cancelled before I could take it… thanks!), but that’s likely not the only one. Getting you out into the field is part and parcel of a biology degree, to put you in real-life data collection situations. I was out on a field trip last week, and realised that so many people will only think of the big trips to a tropical country, they may forget about all the local ones. So here’s a low down on what to expect on your average, day out field trip!

January Favourites

In all honesty, I’m amazed I’ve put makeup on each day! And whilst I’ve not had much time to experiment, there have been a few products that have at least made it look like I’m not stressed trying to balance everything alongside blogging…

A Weekend in Paris – Blog and Photo Diary

A Weekend in Paris – Blog and Photo …

As I mentioned in my 2018 Resolutions and Goals Post, one thing I really want to do more of this year is travel. So I kicked off the New Year in style, heading to the city of Paris for a weekend city break with my boyfriend! We scored a great deal on Wowcher, and although Tom took some convincing, we set off for Edinburgh Airport on the 12th of January, anticipating lots of fine wines, cheese, and sight seeing!

That Girl Alexa – Reviewing the Amazon Echo

That Girl Alexa – Reviewing the Amazon Echo

One of the first presents handed to me on Christmas morning (or afternoon, after mine, Tom and Peggy’s accidental lie in until 10am, breakfast, and family visits were over and we finally got to the present pile) was a little box addressed to both of us, from Tom’s mum. When I unwrapped the Amazon Echo, I was amazed! I’d never really considered having one, because I thought I wouldn’t use it. Having one bought for me made me realise how wrong I was.
